Pre-employment Screening (Background Check)

Georgetown University conducts pre-employment screening for all positions. The screening may include, but is not limited to, a criminal background check, verification of academic credentials, licenses, certifications, and/or verification of work history. Georgetown utilizes an online system which will require a valid email address. Offers of employment are conditional, based on satisfactory completion of the pre-employment background check process.

Hoya Staffing/Temporary Employment

Since 1986, Georgetown University has operated an internal temporary staffing service. This service provides screened and qualified temporary employees to departments throughout the University. Last year, the temporary staffing service placed over 300 applicants in 175 departments on the Main Campus, Law and Medical Centers. They offer services not only for general administrative positions, but also for those in accounting and finance, information technology, research, project coordination, faculty support and assistance, and more.
