Duties And Responsibilities

The Executive Assistant provides direct administrative support to the Directors of Gift Planning and, in coordination with the other Executive Assistants, manages the gift planning program’s daily operations to ensure timely and efficient response, reporting, and accountability to all internal and external constituencies. Additional responsibilities include: assisting Directors with preparation of planned gift proposals, gift illustrations, bequest language, and other gift agreements and activities in support of securing, documenting and stewarding planned gifts; prepare reports and enter information into the main Advancement database (Gambit/PRM); assisting with development and implementation of initiatives for marketing planned gifts; managing bequest and probate administration; securing travel arrangements; preparing and filing expense reports and settlement of purchasing card transactions; and representing the office to internal and external constituencies. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree; at least five years of equivalent experience in a professional environment – preferably in development and/or legal, with knowledge of gift planning vehicles; proficiency in MS Office applications; well organized, detail-oriented, and accurate; strong editing, proofreading, verbal and written communication skills; and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, work independently, and use good judgment in handling confidential material. |
