Duties And Responsibilities & Minimum Requirements:	Under general supervision controls the operation of the fluidized bed boiler, three gas/oil fired boilers, 8 chillers, emergency generator unit, thermal storage tank, campus electrical demand and all auxiliary and associated equipment in the plant. Follows established procedures and refers sub-standard conditions to supervisor. Performs related work when assigned. Responds to campus steam, chilled water, condensate and domestic water distribution system. 1st Class DC Steam Engineers License. Incumbent must have a minimum of 5 years background in trade practices of steam engineering. Must be able to operate from previous background knowledge on troubleshooting the gauges and instruments on panel to bring about satisfactory operation of fluidized bed boiler which is unique in its design and operation.
