Duties And Responsibilities & Minimum Requirements: The Executive Assistant for the Associate Vice President for University Development partners with the AVP to build relationships within and outside the University, taking initiative as s/he anticipates and executes a broad range of requirements for the AVP, as well as the Office of Advancement: manages administrative and programmatic responsibilities requiring a commitment to the mission of the Office of Advancement and its dedicated work to build and maintain relationships integral to the success and future of the University; functions as the face of the AVP’s office, working across the department with various constituencies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintain complete knowledge of managed prospects and donors with all contact information and history of their relationship with the University; and steward these relationships at all times; independently execute multiple and complex projects in full life cycle, from concept through to implementation and post-mortem analysis; edit, proofread and/or write correspondence, fact sheets, memos, etc., in collaboration with and for consumption by the Office of the President, the Office of the Provost, offices of the Deans as well as alumni, parents, friends, supporters and donors; develop, monitor and manage a large annual budget; manage complex scheduling, meeting planning and travel arrangements with discretion; and manage the AVP’s calendar, safeguard his availability for high-profile responsibilities and ensure that he is prepared for planned as well as unanticipated events; produce agendas and collateral meeting materials and handle any follow up as needed.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years’ relevant experience providing senior level administrative support or the equivalent; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; excellent writing skills; very strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize; excellent problem solving skills; ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion; expertise in MS Office Suite – preference for expertise in PRM, Gambit and other software to produce reports and presentations; and a strong desire to contribute to and participate in the mission of the Office of Advancement.
