| Duties And Responsibilities & Minimum Requirements: | The lead software engineer will lead a team of 2-3 developers and be responsible for the software life cycle development of number of software products. Also, he/she will be heavily involved in designing and integrating text analytics systems to the existing system. These responsibilities include: Work with clients/users to develop requirements, Provide leadership and mentoring for the team, coordinate and develop multiple scheduled software releases from the standpoint of design, development, test/integration, and deployment, provide guidance, assistance and development in determining new technical capabilities and solution for biosurveillance product suites. Application and Development: Validate a capture article and verify that it is in a format that can be ingested by the data processing system. The GIS applications that are implemented will be web-enabled and will access data from MSSQL Server databases. The applications written in different languages (C#, Java) will talk to the databases using Views or Stored Procedures. The web applications will be implemented using Java Script and the backend processing will be done in C# and Java. At least 2 years work experience full life cycle N-tier software development. Comfortable with analyzing requirements and implementing solution in .NET and J2EE platforms. Experience in User Interface design and systems designs are required. Extreme attention to details is required. Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certification: Hands on experience with .NET framework (C# and ASP.NET) and J2EE (JSP, Servlets and Web Services). Experience in enterprise software implementation projects including multi-tier distributed applications and grid computing (Apache Axis, Globus Toolkit). Experience with integrating SOA capabilities into enterprise architecture initiatives (Web services standards and technologies: J2EE, Apache Axis, SOAP, REST, WS-Security) Experience with Lucene framework. Strong understanding of relational database, knowledge with enterprise databases, such as MS-SQL and MySQL. Good understanding of Bayesian Network. Master's degree required. |
