Stewardship Assistant serves as a member of the Stewardship and Donor Communications team to provide a full range of programmatic and administrative support for stewardship activities: administratively manages University-wide donor recognition and signage, including the handling new facility recognition projects in coordination with development staff and facility donors; ensures all University donors receive a gift acknowledgement, one of the first substantive stewardship touches the university has with any donor; administers gift processing, purchasing and budget tracking, scheduling, and data management (GAMBIT) for the team, and other stewardship responsibilities as assigned; works with development staff to ensure that all managed prospects receive holiday greetings from the University, and coordinates the process for all memorial landscaping gifts with development officers and donors; and works collaboratively with development, communications and school-based staff to ensure effective donor-centered communication and prepare donors for their next solicitation.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree; at least 3 years (though preferably 4 years) of professional administrative management experience; proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel - plus for familiarity with fundraising databases like Millennium; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact well with others; analytical, detail-oriented, and well-organized, with ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and consistently meets all deadlines; and able to successfully work both independently and as a team member.
