Duties And Responsibilities & Minimum Requirements: Assistant Director of Advancement is responsible for executing a regional strategy for the middle market – identifying and soliciting new major gift prospects, ensuring strong pipeline development from discovery to solicitation to gift closing to possible hand-off to the appropriate constituent development unit or senior regional advancement officer: responsible for fundraising initiatives involving reunion classes, to include a strategy for effectively mobilizing peer-to-peer screenings and solicitations within an assigned region; cultivates a personal visit strategy designed at reaching unmanaged prospects, carrying a portfolio of prospects with a personal visit goal of 150 visits per year and is personally responsible for closing $500K to $1 Million in new gift commitments each fiscal year (regardless of designation); assists with the fundraising strategy for parents by coordinating with the Regional Advancement team for the development of a regional parent’s network, as well with other special segments; and assists the Regional Advancement team with the development of regional campaigns in the key US region as the University campaign moves into the public phase.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree; at least two (2) years advancement or related experience with successful track record in external relations and engagement with volunteers, as well as experience working with vast constituencies and experience engaging with external constituents; strong understanding of Alumni Relations and Development, and experience of positive interactions with students; strong analytical skills, as well as prospect management and campaign experience; and professional maturity, to include a mentoring, patient management style with volunteers.
