Duties And Responsibilities & Minimum Requirements: The Career Education Center, the central career planning resource for undergraduate students at Georgetown University, seeks an energetic career development professional to fill a full-time Recruiting Coordinator position. The Recruiting Coordinator manages all aspects of the on- and off-campus recruiting program and maintains the on-line job posting system. The Coordinator ensures that the recruiting service is prepared for the new recruiting cycle and that all workshops, employer presentations, and student interviews are scheduled. The Coordinator works closely with students and employers to ensure that on-campus interviews and presentations proceed smoothly. The Coordinator serves as a resource for students, staff, faculty, and employers on recruiting issues. Additionally, the Coordinator serves as an employment advisor and conducts one-on-one advising sessions and group workshops with students to prepare them for the internship and job search. A bachelor’s degree with experience in student services, job placement, or career services is preferred. Four years of progressive administrative experience could be acceptable for an exceptionally strong candidate who may not have completed a bachelor’s degree. This position requires an emphasis on meeting the needs of students and employers and ensuring that all constituents are provided with information in a courteous, timely, and effective manner. Candidates should possess strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated attention to detail. A commitment to working with students, university professionals, and employers is essential. The Center’s team approach calls for an individual who works well both independently and as a member of a team. Extended work hours are often required during the peak of recruiting season.
