Giving Back
Serving Georgetown, Serving Others
SCS knows the immense value of your time and talent. You are encouraged to give back by joining an alumni club or group, participating in service events, becoming a mentor, and sharing your expertise through webinars.
- Join an Alumni Club: Wherever you are, there is a Georgetown community close to home. Georgetown clubs are open to alumni, parents, and friends of the university. The Georgetown University DC Alumni Club is one of the most popular among SCS alumni, offering service opportunities at local charities like Miriam's Kitchen and social events like Potomac river cruises.
- Find a Group: Make connections for your future with fellow alums through one of several Georgetown special interest groups.
- Become a Mentor: Current SCS students can benefit from the wisdom of your past experiences at SCS and in the workplace. If you would like to join the Alumni Mentor Project (AMP) starting in June 2012, please contact Amye Lee at aml246@georgetown.edu.
- Present a Webinar: Alumni Career Services organizes 60-minute webinars throughout the year, typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Alumni share their expertise on various topics that are of interest to the wider Georgetown alumni community. If you are interested in becoming a webinar presenter, please read the Protocol and Worksheet for Webinar Presenters and contact Alumni Career Services at acs@georgetown.edu.
Make a Gift
Generous gifts from alumni, parents and friends will contribute to the mission of the School of Continuing Studies — to make the history and traditions of Georgetown available to nontraditional students seeking professional advancement, intellectual growth and an opportunity to improve themselves and the world.
To make a gift to the School, please be sure to complete the designation box provided on the online form. You can also target your contribution to individual programs at the School.
