Description:
In partnership with Georgetown University's Center for Language Education and Development , CCPE offers this unique certificate program designed for international students who are non-native speakers of English. The Certificate in Business and Professional English allows students to develop an advanced level of English for business and professional purposes and provides insight into the basics of American business practices.
The Fall semester of this two-semester program includes a 20-hour per week English for Professional Purposes course
and two Business Administration courses, Principles of Management
and Principles of Marketing. The Spring semester includes an English
for Specific Business Purposes course which meets an average 18 hours per
week, and three Business Administration courses, Business Accounting,
Business Financial Management and a Capstone Business Policy course. All Business Administration Courses are taken jointly with American students at Georgetown University. Faculty members in the Certificate Program are full-time, experienced professors from the Georgetown University English as a Foreign Language Intensive Program and the McDonough School of Business.

Visa Information:
A Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20) required to obtain an F-1 Student Visa is issued to admitted students upon request and will be sent with the notice of admission. Evidence of financial support for tuition, living expenses, and miscellaneous expenses (fees, books, and medical insurance) is required if a student wishes to receive a Form I.
Withdrawal:
A student who wishes to withdraw from the Certificate Program in Business Administration and Professional English must notify the EFL Admissions Office in writing. Tuition refunds are calculated from the date this letter is received. No refunds are given for language lab, activities fees, and medical insurance after the first week of the session.
Prerequisites:
A university degree and a minimum TOEFL score of 525/195 CBT are required for admission into this program.
