Course Description:

This is a continuation of the advanced study of daily ethical issues facing paralegals and their employers. The topics include marketing: advertising, web sites, chat rooms, and solicitation; red flags: assisting or facilitating clients’ crimes or fraud; and recent developments: dissemblance by paralegals and problems in electronic communications. The different requirements among the local rules of professional conduct for the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia will be explored.

Completion of this course and Ethics Compliance for Paralegals results in a Writ of Completion in Paralegal Ethics and Professional Responsibility.
