Course Description:

The purpose of this course is to examine the process of creating technical documents that reach their intended audience and fulfill their specific purpose. Students will learn technical writing style, document design principles, and components of various types of technical documents. Students should have intermediate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills. Learning objectives include:

  • State and analyze the rhetorical situation.
  • Organize technical information in a logical manner.
  • Apply documentation project management principles.
