Foundations in Franchise Leadership:
Over the past 50 years franchising has evolved into one of the most dynamic, transformative business strategies in the world. Strong leadership in the franchise community is essential to ensuring continued success, effective self-governance and innovation. This module will focus on understanding the changing national and global landscape including corporate ethics, social responsibilities, political implications and economic imperatives. Instructors will include a visionary franchise professional, a social enterprise expert and a Georgetown University professor. Students will formulate team project foundations to be developed throughout the course and presented in the final session.

The Role of Leadership in a Franchise Organization:
The role of leadership in franchise organizations is evolving and requires a keen eye towards shifting cultural norms, organizational structures, consumer behavioral trend analysis and the concept of working teams. This module will look into the development of vision, value and structure to drive the organization forward in an increasing competitive and diverse environment. Teams work through intricate case studies highlighting specifically challenging aspects of the leadership role, lead by senior franchise leaders and a Georgetown University professor.

Learning Objective: The goal of this session is to help executives identify and adopt a specific system structure strategy.

The Leadership Quotient:
A formula for success in franchise leadership will be developed and presented including a balanced scorecard, the latest concepts in strategy mapping and planning, and exercises will be designed to stimulate discussion and application of concepts. Franchise professionals will present real world experiences and examples of strategies deployed and results. A Georgetown University professor of Business Strategy will facilitate the module and share the latest findings from academia.
