Course Description:

This course is meant to provide the student with a basic knowledge of Italian that will allow communication at a simple level. It will cover basic conversation patterns simulating real situations and experiences. At the end of the eight weeks, the student will be able to make him or herself understood in a simple but correct manner, use the regular and the main irregular verbs in the present and in the past , the familiar and the formal forms of address, prepositions, and adjectives in agreement with the noun. Most of all, s/he will be able to speak and understand well enough to travel in Italy without anxiety or fear.

The class will be held entirely in Italian.
