Course Description:

The class will examine the role of online newspapers and the use of the Web to disseminate the news. The Blog phenomenon will be considered as will the notion of a virtual community. Practical skills such as how to write effective online news copy and how to use the Web's resources most efficiently will be honed.

*Please note: Students are asked to bring their personal laptops to class. They will be used for in-class projects and assignments.
