Course Description:

This advanced course will focus on the changing nature of the terrorist threat posed by the Al Qaeda movement and its affiliates across several continents. Specific topics of discussion will include Al Qaeda's strategic values and parameters, the decentralization of the movement's networks, changing tactical patterns, target selection and the timing of attacks. The course will also explore potential future developments over the near- to mid-term, including the threat facing the United States and select European, Middle Eastern and South Asian nations.
