Course Description:

The Spanish program involves you in the use of all four communicative languages skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The textbook for Spanish Intro II, ¿Como Se Dice?, will be available for purchase at the Georgetown University bookstore.

Areas covered in ¿Como Se Dice? include:

  • Indirect Object Pronouns
  • Constructions with 'gustar'
  • Preterit of regular and irregular verbs
  • Preterit of stem-changing verbs
  • The imperfect
  • The subjunctive mood
  • The Ud. and Uds. commands

Vocabulary related to: checking in at a hotel, banking and running errands, shopping for groceries, meal preparation, daily routines, various parts of the house, and travel-related words and situations.
