Anne Sue Hirshorn

Anne Sue Hirshorn received a B.F.A. & M.A. in the History of Art from the University of Pennsylvania. She has lectured and published several essays about 19th century American artists Anna Claypoole Peale and Sarah Miriam Peale, and is a contributor to a forthcoming volume on the Peale family of painters; she was a contributing scholar to the exhibition to "The Peale Family: Creation of a Legacy." As a component of cultural exchange, Ms. Hirshorn has managed numerous loan exhibitions of 19th and 20th century American art travelling overseas. She previously taught American Art and Modern Painting at Pennsylvania State University.
