Everette Fortner, Director, Career Development Center, Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia

Everette Fortner came to Darden in July 2003 as the new Director of Career Development. He serves as liaison between the employer community and the students. He leads all activities of the CDC including strategy development and implementation, corporate relationships and the portfolio of recruiting companies, career coaching of students, and direction and management of the teams. In his role as CDC director, Everette has been instrumental in shaping and teaching the Career Transitions course offer to all 300+ incoming Darden MBA students each year. Everette also works with both fulltime MBAs and students in MBA for Executives program. He serves as the liaison between the academic and employer communities and the Career Development Center. Everette is a Darden graduate from the Class of '87, and he previously worked for 17 years in marketing and general management with Kraft, Nabisco, FritoLay and Dun & Bradstreet, both in the U.S. and internationally. Everette lives in Charlottesville with his wife Sally and three teenage children.
