JOHN FRISBIE

John Frisbie, president of the US-China Business Council since November 2004, has over twenty years of experience in business and government relations with China, including nearly ten years living and working in Beijing. Frisbie spent seven years with the General Electric Company in business development roles in China and Asia. He also worked at the trade consulting practice established by former Secretary of Commerce Mickey Kantor at Mayer, Brown, Rowe and Maw.

His China background includes new venture negotiations, operating process improvements, trade and investment consulting, policy analysis and advocacy, US and Chinese government relations, and media relations.

Frisbie received Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Business Administration degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
