Julian Teixeira

Mr. Teixeira is the media relations director at Zeno Group, where he is responsible for the firm's media relations activities

Before joining Zeno, he was the manager of corporate communications and marketing at Conservation International (CI). There, his responsibilities included managing all media relations, communications and marketing initiatives for CI's Center for Environmental Leadership in Business (CELB), focusing on the U.S. and international markets with a strong emphasis placed on outreach activities to European and South American media.

Before joining CI, he was the assistant director of public relations at the U. S. Pharmacopeia (USP), where he was responsible for helping to launch USP's Dietary Supplement Verification Program and the organization's consumer education campaigns for medication errors. He also was responsible for the daily communications and public relations activities for the organization.

He also was media relations manager for the health and medical practice at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in New York City, serving such clients as Merck, Pfizer and BMS, specializing in outreach to the Hispanic and international markets.

Mr. Teixeira also worked for the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) in Washington, D.C. There, he was the managing editor for the association's monthly magazine, Business Officer. In addition, he worked as a reporter and editor for the Washington Business Journal, The Palm Beach Post, The Pittsburgh Business Times, and USA Today.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and a Master's in Business Administration both from the University of Maryland at College Park. He also studied at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and speaks Portuguese and Spanish fluently.

He has served as the public relations and marketing chair for the National Society of Hispanic MBAs.
