Student Profiles

Will Stevens

Will Stevens is a rising senior at Lincoln High School in Portland, OR. Living in Portland all his life, Will is looking forward to this workshop as a great opportunity to meet people from all around the world and experience life on the east coast. Will is a talented tennis player, and as a state quarterfinalist and two-time State qualifier, Will has managed to balance his tennis career with his academic and social life. When he's not on the court, Will enjoys watching movies, and hanging out with friends, and engaging in community service work in Portland.

Will is currently enrolled in the rigorous International Baccalaureate Program at his high school. He also works as a news editor for his high school newspaper, The Cardinal Times, which is the oldest high school publication west of the Mississippi. His passion for journalism was ignited last spring after he wrote an obituary/ tribute piece on a former teacher who had a major impact on the community. The hugs and thank-you phone calls he received from the teacher's family were truly rewarding.
