The courses listed comprise the current course offerings for the academic year 2007-2008 for the American Studies curricular field as well as additional course offerings anticipated in the future in this field.
Curriculum Description
For those who wish to design their own field within the broad scope of courses in Liberal Studies rather than concentrating in one of the defined fields, students may choose Individualized Study. With the advice and direction of the Faculty Advisor they will select Core, Human Values courses and a thesis topic to meet their special needs and interests.
Faculty Advisor John A. Reuscher, Ph.D. Fordham University, Associate Professor of Philosophy, Georgetown University. Teaching at Georgetown in the Philosophy Department since 1969, his special research interest is the development of Kant’s thought with a concentration on his theory of knowledge and his aesthetics.
