Online Registration
Students are encouraged to register for courses using Student Access +, Georgetown’s online registration system.
Dates of Registration
Online registration begins on April 2nd at 12:01 a.m. for both Summer and Fall terms. Summer registration must be completed before 5 PM the day before your course begins or no later than May 26th to avoid the $80 late fee. Fall registration continues through August 29th. Registration after August 29th requires an $80 late fee and continues until 5 PM the day before each course begins. You may make online schedule changes (Add/Drop) until 5 PM the day before each course begins. Your student account balance must be less than $100.00 to register for the Summer and/or Fall terms.
Course Dates
Note carefully: The dates on the Liberal Studies Website are the exact dates of each course. These are not to be confused with semester dates that you may see listed on the Registrar’s website or the dates listed on your bill. As noted in the Student Handbook, absence from the first class meeting usually results in the student being dropped from the course.
Declaring Curricular Field
Using Student Access+, please view your Degree Audit and call if you have questions. Students who have yet to declare a curricular field will be coded as "Individualized Study".
If you wish to choose or change the curricular field listed on your audit, please email that request to vjk@georgetown.edu
Adding and Dropping Courses
You may make online schedule changes until 5 PM the day before each course begins.
You may not register for a course once the course has started. You must be registered officially before you may attend class. Conversely, if you are registered for a course and fail to drop it, you will be charged.
