Summer Intensive Certificate Program (14 weeks, full-time)
The full-time Summer Certificate Program meets daily for 14 weeks commencing May 27 and ending in late August. A required two-week, unpaid legal-related internship is included in the curriculum. Classes take place Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 3:30pm.

About Your Internship
The internship placement provides a unique opportunity to apply the new skills and knowledge you acquire in the first half of employment. Program staff leverages the program’s outstanding reputation with the DC Metro legal employer community to identify and tailor internship placements to student interests. Internship placements are as diverse as our students, but the common thread is real world practical experience that prepares for a career as a paralegal. Examples of past placement sites include, Steptoe & Johnson, LLP, Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office, Animators at Law, BET Interactive LLC, National Juvenile Defender Center and the U.S. Patent Office. While employment is not guaranteed, many of our students have proven themselves well during their internships and continue with full time employment at their placement sites after completing their certificate.
