The Master’s Degree
The Master in Professional Studies (MPS) program is a 30-credit program; students may enroll for one year of full-time study or two years of part-time study. The MPS in Sports Industry Management is offered in two tracks: Strategic Marketing, Communications, and New Media; and Business, Management, and Operations. The program begins with a course in applied ethics and ends with a capstone project that is a synthesis of the student’s coursework.

Full-Time and Part-Time Options
Students can earn the MPS in Sports Industry Management in one of two ways: through the one-year accelerated full-time program, or by enrolling as a part-time student. Courses are offered in the evening to accommodate work schedules and daytime commitments.
The Advanced Professional Certificate
In addition to the MPS, Georgetown offers an Advanced Professional Certificate (APC) in sports management. This five-course, 15-credit option features many similar, high-caliber course offerings but can be completed in a reduced amount of time. The same rigorous acceptance standards apply as for the full master’s program. Credit can later be applied toward a master’s degree.
