Application Deadlines
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. However, we recommend applying as early as possible as there are a limited number of spots for this program.

Application Requirements
To be considered for admission into the Semester in Washington Program at Georgetown University, you must submit the following items:

1. Completed application form.

2. $35.00 application fee.
Those filling out the online application should submit payment online using a major credit card, check, or money order. Those submitting a print application should include a check or money order made payable to Georgetown University.

3. Updated resume or CV.

4. Official transcript(s).
Official transcripts in a sealed, signed envelope, from all relevant institutions of higher education previously attended. A transcript is considered official only if it is mailed in a sealed, signed envelope. Please note that transcripts written in a language other than English must be accompanied by an official translation.

5. One letter of recommendation.
Please submit one letter of recommendation (on letterhead) from an academic or professional contact, together with the recommendation form.

6. An essay.
A one-page essay, explaining how Georgetown’s Semester in Washington Program ties into your studies to date and how it will contribute to your professional development.

Non-Native English Speakers
7. TOEFL Scores.
All applicants whose native language is not English or who have not attended an English-speaking undergraduate institution must forward results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language TM (TOEFL) for the purpose of verifying English-language ability. A TOEFL score of 550 or above on the written or at least 213 on the computer-based examination is required. Please use institution code number 5986.

International Students
International students must obtain and submit, at their own expense, an evaluation of their transcripts by World Education Services or another recognized international evaluation service recommended by the Council of Postsecondary Accreditation or the U.S. Department of Education Office of Postsecondary Education.

Admission
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The admissions committee reviews all completed applications once received. Applicants will be notified immediately upon acceptance into the program via e-mail, and an official letter of acceptance will be mailed via regular mail.
