Our reference library features a selection of current books relevant to students interested in international affairs careers. Several newsletters, including The Jobs Book and International Career Employment Weekly are also available. We maintain a collection of sample resumes, cover letters and other handouts that will aid you in the job search.

The Career Bulletin
The Center publishes a weekly newsletter,
Career Bulletin, which provides information on upcoming events. The Career Bulletin is available online, as well as via e-mail. Contact us for login information. To subscribe to the e-mail version, click

Please note: The Career Bulletin is only available to SFS graduate students and alumni. When subscribing, please include your full name, preferred e-mail address, former program, and year of graduation.
Internet Resources
The internet is an indispensable tool in your job or internship search. Check out our
list of selected websites that other students have found helpful. Keep in mind that while some of these sites post actual listings, others will simply provide you with useful research information.
Handouts
The Center provides a number of handouts designed to help you with your job or internship search. These include sample resumes, tips on interviewing and salary negotiation, and how to write an effective cover letter. Stop by the Center to take some handouts, or click

Online Resume Book
The SFS Career Development Center now has an online resume book where graduate students can post a brief profile and a copy of their resume (as a pdf file) for employers to view. To access the site, go to:
https://www12.georgetown.edu/sfs/admin/ and type in your netid and password at the prompt. If you are having trouble logging in, please contact your individual program. And if you need help in converting your resume to a pdf file, contact the Career Center.
