Get Involved with the Brazilian Studies Program
Students interested in Brazil have a great chance to get involved with the activities developed by the BSP! Every semester, our program organizes a series of lecture events, where academics and policy makers help us to better understand developments in Brazil's political, economic, social and cultural areas. Students are welcomed to help us organize these events, not only by contributing with ideas for events but also taking notes of lectures and writing summaries to be posted in our webpage. For more information on how to get involved with the BSP, contact Valeria Buffo at vob@georgetown.edu

On-Line Resources and BSP Library
Do you have plans to do research on Brazil but feel a little lost on where to start? The Brazilian Studies Program now counts with a helpful list of on-line resources that cover areas as diverse as government, human rights, security, trade and economic development. We also have various books and publications that can be loaned to students in a fast and easy way. Check all this out in our Students page.

Call for Papers on Brazil
The Brazilian Studies Program is very interested in organizing events where Georgetown students (both graduate and undergraduate) can present their papers on Brazil. If you think you have an innovative topic and your findings deserve to be shared with others, send your paper to brazil@georgetown.edu by May 12th. After a selection process conducted by a team of professors associated with our program, two students will be contacted to give a presentation in an event put together by the BSP in the following semester. The students are encouraged to prepare power point presentations and our program will try to have professors and other experts to make comments on the themes approached by the students in their papers. A session of questions and answers will follow the students' presentations. Don't miss this incredible opportunity to expose your ideas and gain experience in presenting them to the public!
