Local Economic Development: Workshops

  • Fishing Workshop: This workshop aimed to exchange experiences and lessons learned from the different brokers in managing the economic clusters in each department. The final results was the creation of a network among departments producers of fish to exchange diagnoses, best practices, training programs, etc.

  • Líderes Promotores de Asociatividad Empresarial en Colombia: in a joint effort with the Corporación Andina de Fomento, ANDI, Ministry of Commerce  and the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, and IICA organized a workshop  in which were presented the best practices and the lessons learned of the different experiences in creating and consolidating economic. In February 2004- Bogotá.  

  • Encuentro Nacional de Aliados estratégicos:   the Colombia Program organized a meeting with the regional partners “Encuentro Nacional de Aliados Estratégicos”, with the purpose to exchange experiences and methodologies among the brokers in the departments in which the Colombia Program has been working since 2003, Nariño, Cauca, Valle, Tolima, Huila and Chocó. In August 2004- Bogotá.  

  • Third Forum of Business Partnerships: Strategies for Internationalization,” designed to share experiences in domestic and international business partnerships. In October 2005- Bogotá.
