WHO ARE WE?

CLAS students come from a wide array of interesting places and backgrounds. To learn more about our current graduate students, take a look at their profiles, but keep in mind that as the year progresses some or many of their interests and goals will change.

HOW CAN I BE INVOLVED AS A STUDENT OF LATIN AMERICAN STUDIES?

The Latin American Graduate Organization is a student group that hosts various activities and serves as a voice of student concerns. In addition, CLAS has several student Working Groups, that organize events around issues such as indigenous peoples, human rights, Central America and the Caribbean.

WHERE CAN I START MY RESEARCH ON LATIN AMERICA-RELATED TOPICS?

Georgetown's Lauinger Library has a great research guide on Latin America to help start your search. A guide on Spanish-Language Literature (with some information on Portuguese literature) is also available through the library. The Center's Political Database of the Americas is also a good place to begin, particularly their page of links to Websites on Latin America.
