IBD Celebrates 25 Years!

In April of 2004 the Landegger Program celebrated its 25th Anniversary at a special alumni reception in the Intercultural Center Galleria. Dean Gallucci, Dean Emeritus Krogh and the Landegger Family joined Ted Moran in welcoming back alumni and celebrating the success of IBD. Over 200 alumni, faculty and friends of IBD joined in the celebration. Alumni representing nearly every class year were in attendance.

Distinguished alumni/ae Molly Ashby (MSFS 1983) CEO, Solera Capital, LLC, Wendy Silberman Cutler (MSFS 1983) Assistant USTR for North Asian Affairs, Ted Carter (BSFS 1987) President and CEO, National Capital Revitalization Corporation (NCRC), and Patrick McKenna (MBA 1998) Vice President of Business Development at LiveOps, Inc. shared observations about their careers and reflected on the importance of their IBD training as a springboard to their current success.

Mentorship Opportunities

The Landegger Program sponsors various events designed to facilitate contact between IBD candidates and IBD alumni living and working in the Washington area. These contacts allow students to seek advice about their course of study, area of interest, and opportunities in the professional world from IBD alumni with relevant experience.

Students will learn more about what types of positions are available for people with an IBD background and which skills are most useful after graduation. Many students take advantage of these initial contacts to develop a mentor relationship with appropriate individuals, permitting more in-depth conversations that may continue throughout the candidate's program of study.

We invite all local alumni to participate in these casual gatherings. Please let us know if you would like to participate in our popular Brown Bag Lunch series or on a career panel.
