Evgeny Morozov specializes in the ways that technology and new media affect global politics, with a particular focus on their role in authoritarian states. His writings about technology have appeared in numerous major newspapers and journals, including The Economist, Newsweek, Foreign Policy, and Le Monde. He also regularly appears on CNN, CBS, PBS, and Al Jazeera English to talk about technology and its role in politics and society. He is a blogger for Foreign Policy magazine, where he writes its NetEffect blog. Mr. Morozov sits on the sub-board of the Information Program at the Open Society Institute (where he was also a fellow until receiving the Yahoo! fellowship at Georgetown). He is currently writing a book that examines the role of the Internet on democratization.
