Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) |

ADD and ADHD are neurological conditions affecting both learning and behavior. They result from chronic disturbances in the areas of the brain that regulate attention, impulse control, and the executive functions that control cognitive tasks, motor activity, and social interactions. Hyperactivity may or may not be present. Georgetown does not discriminate or deny access to an otherwise qualified disabled student on the basis of a learning disability, and consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the University will provide qualifying students with learning disabilities reasonable accommodations [see Procedure for Requesting Accommodations].
