My name is Patrick Lukingbeal and I am originally from Houston, Texas and am a seventh generation Texan! I hold a Masters of Science in Higher Education Administration from Texas A&M University, as well as completed my Bachelors of Science in Environmental Studies at the same institution. The past several years, I have worked as a Graduate Hall Director, Graduate Assistant for Risk Management in Student Activities, and completed several internships in multicultural and student life offices. Some of my personal and professional passions revolve around multicultural education, diversity leadership, LGBTQ student needs, and sexual assault/domestic violence prevention and advocacy. In my spare time I love following politics, camping/backpacking, and listening to music. I am looking forward to a great year working on-campus!

I graduated from the University of Scranton with a B.S. in Political Science and a minor in German. My love of politics makes being in D.C. incredibly exciting for me. From running to rock climbing, being active in the outdoors is what I enjoy most. When I can't be outside, I enjoy reading, quoting The Office, trying new things (food, activities, music, etc.) and watching professional sports. I'm very friendly so please stop by my office if you need anything (or if you just want to say hi--I have candy!). I am originally from the greater Los Angeles area, but have greatly enjoyed living on the East Coast for the past several years. I received my B.A. from a fellow Jesuit school, Boston College, in Sociology and Italian Language and Literature. In the past, I have worked with first-year programs, as well as in campus ministry and leadership development. When I am not working, I love to cook, travel, and listen to music (especially country). I am very excited to be living and working at Georgetown for my second year, and am really looking forward to continuing to explore all that DC has to offer. I spent the past two years working at Loyola College in Maryland as a Graduate Resident Coordinator for Student Life while simultaneously getting my Master’s in Clinical Psychology. Before Loyola, I went to Johns Hopkins where I got my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Having spent the past six years in Baltimore, I love everything and anything pertaining to the city but am excited to explore all that D.C. has to offer and make it my new home. Amanda Taylor, Hall Director for Darnall Hall act55@georgetown.edu or 202-687-4779 Hello residents of Darnall Hall! My name is Amanda Taylor. I am originally from Fresno, California; however, I have lived in six other states, most recently North Carolina and Ohio. I received a B.A. in Biology from Rhodes College and a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel from Kent State University. While at Kent State I worked as an Assistant Residence Hall Director for two years, which developed my love of residence life along with my passions for social justice, multicultural education and LGBTQ student concerns. In my spare time I love to travel, read, sing and watch movies (especially indie films). I am also a HUGE foodie and very much enjoy eating a diverse range of cuisines. Some of my favorites include sushi, indian, thai, italian, greek and any kind of seafood. I love to chat, so please feel free to stop by my office with any questions, concerns or thoughts!

I'm from Florence, Alabama, and I graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in American Studies. I was a Jesuit Volunteer in Atlanta with 9to5, National Association for Working Women, and then completed my Master of Education degree at the University of Vermont, where I advised the Senior Class Council. I like to read, sing, write, cook, and find good places to get local food. I'm a short distance runner; I love to cook and explore the outdoors alongside my better half, Dave. Alberto Lorenzo, Hall Director for New South Hall al466@georgetown.edu or 202-687-7430 My name is Alberto and I graduated from Barry University with a BA in English Literature and Masters of Science in Higher Education Administration. I consider New Jersey my home state but I was born and raised in Cuba and spent most of my teenage years living in Costa Rica. I am very excited to be a part of the GU community and l look forward to exploring DC while living here. My personal interests involve reading, writing, movies, theater, as well as other forms of art. Professionally, I am very interested in gender studies, diversity education, and the wholesome development of the student. I was born in San Antonio, Texas, but moved A LOT as my parents were in the military. I went to college at the University of Missouri (MIZZOU Go Tigers!) where I earned a B.S. in Business Administration and a M.A. in Educational Leadership. I love working with students and being in the college environment. Whenever I have the chance I am trying to have fun, but I always work hard to accomplish everything I need to. After graduation I moved back to my home state of New Jersey and worked with a community development corporation in Camden, NJ. My name is Priya Sambasivan and I was born and raised in Southern California but moved to Washington State when I was 15 so I come here from the Pacific Northwest. I went to college at the University of Washington and got my MA in English here at Georgetown. Whenever I have taken time off from school I have worked in the non-profit sector with youth - first at City Year Seattle/King County, then at Making Connections in Seattle, and finally at The Urban Alliance Foundation here in DC. When I'm not at work you'll find me studying for my counseling classes at GW, cooking, or watching movies with friends. I truly enjoy working with students and am excited to be a part of the Village C West community.

While an undergraduate student, I became an initiated member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and worked full time as an Event Coordinator. I left Utah to pursue my Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Texas A&M University and graduated in 2006. I’ve been at Georgetown University since fall 2006 and have bled blue and grey ever since. Some of my areas of expertise include Leadership Development, Fraternity/Sorority Life, Group Facilitation and Judicial Affairs. In my spare time I like to travel, hike, watch movies and am an amateur photographer.

I am Aja Holmes; I am an Area Coordinator for the First Year Residence Halls and Henle Village. I am from Chicago Illinois. I have received both my B.S. in Mass Communication and M. Ed in Higher Education with an emphasis on College Student Development from Illinois State University. Prior to coming to Georgetown University I was a Residence Hall Director at Stony Brook University in New York and I taught 2 courses: Intro to Global Studies and HIV/AIDS Peer Ed Course. My name is Bill Huff and I am excited to be joining the Georgetown team as the Area Coordinator for the Southwest Quad and Kennedy Hall. I come to Georgetown from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts where I spent two years running a few residence halls. I received my Master of Arts in Student Development in Post Secondary Education from The University of Iowa and my Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication/Theater & Secondary Education from Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I was born and raised my entire existence among the corn fields and hog farms of Iowa, but have come to call the East Coast my home. I enjoy being active outdoors, reading, theater, making a fool of myself singing karaoke, and exploring various consignment shops, auctions, and garage sales. My professional areas of interest include social class and classism in higher education; LGBTQ identity and development; drug, alcohol, & sexual health education; and spiritual, value-based, and moral development.

My work in Residence Life began over a decade ago as a Resident Assistant for my undergraduate institution- Central Washington University. After my Maters Degree in Communications, I moved to California. Just before coming to Georgetown, I served as the Associate Dean of Students at a business college. Ed Gilhool, Associate Director elg38@georgetown.edu or 202-687-4033 Hailing from the cold, but beautiful state, of Michigan, I have a Bachelor degree in Public Administration from Grand Valley State University and a Masters degree in Education from Oregon State University. After working in Residence Life at The University of Arizona and American University, I am excited to now be a part of the Georgetown community. My areas of professional interest are aplenty, but primarily include leadership development, sustainability, social justice education and emergency preparedness. Katie Heather, Assistant Director keh56@georgetown.edu or 202-687-4056 I received my B.A. in Psychology from Fairfield University and my M.A. in Higher Education Administration from Boston College. Along the way, I was a member of FrancisCorps, a volunteer program in the Franciscan tradition, traveled across Europe, earned my EMT certification and developed a love of yoga. Before moving to Georgetown I worked in Boston, and this native New Yorker is excited to live and work in the exciting District of Columbia. Within the field of higher education, my passions have included working with first year students, advising student groups and developing partnerships across campus to better serve our students. I look forward to meeting you this year!
Kevin Stenberg, Assistant Director kjs75@georgetown.edu or 202-687-4056 I grew up in Wisconsin, where I received a BS in Service Management from UW-Stout, and later moved to Missouri where I received my MS in Higher Education Administration from the University of Central Missouri. After graduate school, I worked four years at Rutgers University, and most recently worked two years at Montclair State University. I am passionate about a number of areas of student affairs, particularly including the globalization of higher education, LGBT identity development, and the social justice component of sustainability initiatives. I currently serve as a Directorate Member of the ACPA Commission for Administrative Leadership, and recently also served as an Executive Board Member in two different positions for MACUHO. In my free time I enjoy reading, trying new foods (especially desserts!), and traveling. I’m currently on a quest to experience a little bit of all 50 states and have just two to go – Oregon & Hawaii, here I come!

I spent two years teaching at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago as a Jesuit Alumni Volunteer. Since moving back to the DC area, I've spent the last few years teaching English as a Second Language to adult immigrant communities in the city and Spanish to high school students in Prince George's County. I'm excited to return to Georgetown and I look forward to working with you.
