Astrophotography:

On Saturday night, three members of the society, including myself, made use of the brand new 10" Dobsonian by viewing the moon through it using our brand new lenses and filters.  We then learned that astrophotography can be as simple as putting a digital camera up against the eyepiece of the telescope and taking a picture!  As you can see from the pictures in the multimedia section, you can get some pretty decent pictures, even if you're just an amateur!  Hopefully, next time, we will be able to get some pictures of stars, constellations, and planets, in addition to more in detail pictures of the moon!
