About Us

Founded in 1992, the Georgetown University Chamber Singers are a select group of mixed voices who perform a cappella works from the Renaissance through the twenty-first century, under the guidance of our music director, Frederick Binkholder. The ensemble performs throughout the academic year on the Georgetown University campus and at numerous private events throughout the District of Columbia and beyond. The Chamber Singers have performed at functions attended by former President Clinton, Hillary Clinton, former Vice President Al Gore and Mrs. Gore, Colin Powell, and former President Jimmy Carter. The ensemble has also performed alongside Jessye Norman and 10-time Grammy Award-winner Bobby McFerrin. The Chamber Singers also work closely with the Georgetown University Program in Performing Arts.
