Help the Homeless Walkathon

HOPE buses leave Georgetown at 8:00
AM.
The Help
the Homeless Walkathon raises money for and awareness about the
issues surrounding homelessness.
For every person who walks with us as a Friend of the Fannie
Mae Foundation, Fannie Mae will donate $50 to outreach organizations
in Washington DC that address homelessness.
Also each walker who registers with us as a
Friend of Fannie Mae will receive a free longsleeve t-shirt and a
hat.
What you should do to Walk with us:
1) Register with HOPE -- either
through a student group or directly through HOPE. Stop by the
HOPE
table in Red Square all week (Nov. 9 - 17) or e-mail us at hope.walkathon@gmail.com.
2) Pay. Registration fee is
$5 per walker.
3) Show up at 7:45 AM SHARP
on Saturday November 18th at the base of the Village C Steps.
Bring Metro fare with you to return from
the walk. Logistically we cannot provide transportation for Georgetown
walkers back
from the National Mall at the end of the Walkathon.
Are you the leader of a student group, department, floor, or sports team and
would like to organize a group of students to participate in the Walkathon?
Great! Group leaders are responsible for collecting registration money from
members of their group and reporting estimated attendance to HOPE (at
hope.walkathon@gmail.com) by Wednesday November 15th. Here are the forms:
