Children's National Medical Center in Washington DC, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, is the largest non-governmental provider of care in the District of Columbia and the only health system in the region dedicated exclusively to the health care of children. In 2001, Children's provided $25.4 million in uncompensated, charity care. Children's offers a wide range of services from offering regular doctors visits and health education, to curing cancer and healing heart problems.
