What does the SFSAC Do?

The SFSAC is an advocate for all Georgetown SFS undergraduates.  Working with the dean's office and other organizations on campus, we work toward making the SFS better and voicing student opinion.  Some of the issues the Council and its committees address year to year are:

  • Dean availability

  • Curriculum

  • New courses

  • Majors, minors, certificates,

  • Community service opportunities

  • SFS reputation to potential employers

  • Freshman and transfer admissions

  • Special Events

  • Graduation

The SFSAC also runs and sponsors many events every year:

  • Diplomatic Ball

  • Lunch with your Dean

  • Dine Dutch with professors

  • Trick-or-Treat on Embassy Row

  • Town-hall meetings with deans

  • Bagel Breakfast

  • Community service events

  • Story Time with Professors Pirtle and Joyner

  • SFS "Top Ten Lies" t-shirts

  • Student-Faculty Banquet

  • Study Buddies

If you have any suggestions for a project or an event, or have any concerns about the above topics, please email gusfsac@gmail.com .  Your responses are greatly appreciated!
