Rachael Allbritten

I am currently working on my Ph.D. in Linguistics at Georgetown University.

I received a Master's Degree in Computational Linguistics in 2007. My primary interest within the field of Compling was Machine Translation and improvement of not only output, but also improving the system of rating output. (I do not like Bleu.)

My doctoral degree is in the field of Sociolinguistics, within which I concern myself primarily with Sociophonetics and on Dialects and Identity. My research is conducted within the paradigm of variationist sociolinguistics and sociophonetics. My dissertation is in progress and I expect to complete it around March 2010.
