THE GEORGETOWN ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

The Georgetown Alumni Association was formally established in 1881, and currently includes a community of more than 148,500 graduates worldwide. The mission of the Alumni Association is to ensure that you have the ability to maintain the important relationship you develop at Georgetown throughout every stage of your life by providing opportunities for fellowship, learning, and service.

Georgetown alumni serve the University in a variety of ways:

  • Through more than 85 Regional Alumni Clubs worldwide
  • As alumni interviewers, a group of more than 3,000 alumni, who meet with every prospective Georgetown student
  • In 50 alumni class programs, where more than 500 alumni are involved in publishing class newsletters, planning reunions, and soliciting funds to support Georgetown
  • Alumni Career Network participants, a community of 21,000 alumni, who have volunteered to provide career advice and support to student and fellow alumni

The Alumni Association sponsors a variety of programs and services specifically designed to support current Georgetown students:

  • Georgetown Alumni Online, featuring up-to-date Regional Club and class contact information and events
  • The Online Alumni Career Network
  • Reunion Weekends
  • Lifetime “@georgetown.edu” e-mail forwarding
  • Homecoming Weekend
  • Student/Alumni Career Symposiums held in major U.S. markets during Winter and various career panels and events featuring alumni throughout the academic year
  • Travel Society Study Tours, with itineraries customized for Georgetown alumni, support alumni connecting with each other and with current Georgetown students
  • Luggage tags as a Graduation Gift

Thousands of alumni, parents, friends, and current students enjoy the benefits of being Georgetown Alumni Association members--and supporting important academic and alumni programming at the same time.
